Terms of Use — CarMinder

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using CarMinder (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and these Terms.

3. What CarMinder does

CarMinder provides car dashboard widget customization, user-entered lyrics-card styling, WidgetKit-safe motion-poster styling, and ride sound setup through Apple Shortcuts.

4. Widgets, lyrics, and motion posters

Widget display and availability are handled by iOS and WidgetKit. Motion-poster cards are static WidgetKit views that can refresh over time; they do not play video inside widgets.

CarMinder does not include a licensed lyrics library. You are responsible for the text you enter into lyrics-style cards.

5. Apple Shortcuts and CarPlay

Apple Shortcuts runs personal automations such as CarPlay connect, CarPlay disconnect, and Arrive. CarMinder provides sound cue actions, bundled local sounds, and user-imported local audio for custom cues. Automation behavior can depend on iOS settings, notification permission, Focus modes, Silent Mode, volume, and device state.

CarMinder does not control, modify, or replace the CarPlay interface.

6. Subscriptions (CarMinder Pro)

• CarMinder may offer optional auto-renewable subscriptions ("Pro") that unlock premium features such as premium widgets, lyrics themes, motion-poster styles, custom sounds, and more dashboard layouts.
• Pricing and billing period are shown in the App before you purchase.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase.
• Purchases are subject to Apple's Media Services Terms.

7. Acceptable use

• Use the App lawfully and responsibly.
• Do not misuse, reverse-engineer, overload, or attempt to disrupt the App or related services.
• Do not use the App while driving in a way that distracts you or violates local law.

8. Intellectual property

The App, its design, and its content are owned by N5 Labs and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks or branding.

9. Disclaimer of warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, N5 Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss arising from your use of the App, widgets, Shortcuts automations, notification behavior, or Pro services.

11. Changes & termination

We may update the App and these Terms over time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We may suspend or discontinue the App at any time.

12. Standard Apple EULA

Unless a separate custom agreement is published, CarMinder uses Apple's standard End User License Agreement: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
