Privacy Policy — MyDump
Short version: MyDump (the "App") scans your camera roll on your device to surface photos for an Instagram-style carousel, and that scanning stays on your phone. The one exception is the optional AI photo-edit tools: when you choose to edit a photo with them, the single photo you pick is sent securely to our AI image provider (Google's Gemini API) to generate the edited image, which is then returned to you. We do not sell or share personal data, and your photos are never used for advertising or profiling. We use Apple's App Store and RevenueCat to manage optional Pro subscriptions.
1. Who we are
N5 Labs ("we", "us") is an independent iOS developer. MyDump is an iPhone app that helps you curate photo dumps for social media from your existing camera roll.
2. What the App does not collect
- Your camera-roll scanning stays on your device. All scanning (date, type, duplicates, blur, privacy), the AI cover/title cards (generated on-device with Apple Intelligence), and the dump-curation flow run locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device frameworks. We do not bulk-upload, browse, or harvest your photo library. The one exception is the optional AI photo-edit tools, where the single photo you choose to edit is sent to our AI provider to create the edit — see Sections 3 and 5.
- No name, address, email, phone number, or government identifier.
- No precise location data (we read the location attached to your photos only on-device, for the "places" category; it stays on-device).
- No contacts, calendar, microphone, or health data.
- No social-login or third-party account data.
- No advertising identifiers (IDFA / IDFV). We do not request App Tracking Transparency permission because we do not track.
- No third-party advertising or behavioral profiling SDKs.
3. The minimal data we do use
- Photo library access via Apple's PhotoKit framework. You grant access via the standard iOS permission prompt. The access is used solely to read photo metadata (date, type, burst identifier, location) and pixel data needed to render the carousel preview — all on-device. Granted access can be revoked any time in iOS Settings → Privacy → Photos → MyDump.
- Subscription status via RevenueCat and the Apple App Store. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user ID (a random UUID assigned by the App, not by you) and your purchase status. Apple handles all payment information; we never see card or payment details.
- On-device-only state (which tutorials you've seen, your daily free-dump count, your selected page) stays on the device using Apple's UserDefaults. It is never uploaded.
- Carousels you export are saved to your own camera roll via Apple's PHPhotoLibrary. They stay on your device. We do not retain copies.
- AI photo edits (optional, only when you start one). If you tap an AI edit tool (e.g. enhance, remove background, fix lighting, golden hour) and pick a photo, that one image plus a short text instruction is sent over an encrypted (TLS) connection — through our own secure proxy — to our AI image provider, Google's Gemini API, for the sole purpose of generating and returning the edited image. It is used only to fulfil your request: not for advertising, not to build a profile of you, and (per the provider's API terms) not to train their models. We do not store your photos on our servers; the result is returned to your device and saved only if you choose to save it.
4. Subscriptions
MyDump is free to download with a daily free dump. An optional "MyDump Pro" subscription unlocks unlimited dumps, the duplicate/blur/privacy cleanup tools, no watermark, captions, best-cover picking, and reordering. Pricing is shown in the App at checkout and may include an introductory free trial. Purchases are processed by Apple; renewals, refunds, and cancellations are managed via your Apple ID account settings. We do not have access to your payment details.
5. Third-party services
- Apple App Store — purchase, refund, and renewal of subscriptions.
- RevenueCat — subscription validation and entitlement management. RevenueCat privacy policy.
- Apple PhotoKit — on-device photo library access for scanning and curation. No third party is involved in this step.
- Google (Gemini API) — used only by the optional AI photo-edit tools, to process a photo you explicitly choose to edit and return an edited image. Your photo is sent (through our own secure proxy) only at the moment you start an edit, and is not retained by us. Gemini API terms · Google privacy policy.
6. Data retention and your rights
We do not store your photos on our servers. The core app keeps your media on your device, and any photo you send to the AI photo-edit provider is processed transiently to return your edit and is not retained by us or stored on our proxy. RevenueCat retains subscription records as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward for tax / compliance purposes. To request review, correction, or deletion of any record associated with your subscription, email support@n5labs.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Depending on your jurisdiction (EU/EEA under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA, Israel, UK), you have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing of your data, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Use the email above to exercise these rights.
7. Data security
Data in transit (subscription receipts to Apple and RevenueCat, and any photo you choose to run through the AI photo-edit tools) is protected by industry-standard TLS. Photos sent for an AI edit are processed transiently and are not retained by us; all other photos remain on-device, protected by the iOS sandbox. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we apply commercially reasonable safeguards.
8. Children
MyDump is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App, contact support@n5labs.com.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the effective date at the top and, where required, notify you in the App. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance.
